Proclamation No. 2023-2
WHEREAS, The Boys & Girls Club of Walker County celebrates 20 years of service to the Huntsville and Walker County area; and
WHEREAS, The Boys & Girls Club of Walker County has a mission to inspire and enable all young people, especially those that need it most, to reach their full potential as productive,
responsible, and caring citizens; and
WHEREAS, The Boys & Girls Club of Walker County provides a safe place for children to learn and grow where they can feel a sense of belonging, usefulness, influence, and competence;
and
WHEREAS, The Boys & Girls Club of Walker County over the last 20 years, has reached more than 6,500 youth through after-school and summer camp services and over 17,000 youth through
community outreach; and
WHEREAS, The Boys & Girls Club of Walker County offers life-changing experiences to every club member, as a catalyst for youth services in the community; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Andy Brauninger, Mayor of Huntsville Texas,
DO HEREBY CONGRATULATE AND PROCLAIM FEBRUARY 28, 2023, as
HOPE GROWS – 20 YEARS OF SERVING HUNTSVILLE & WALKER COUNTY DAY
