Proclamation No. 2022-23
WHEREAS the twenty-eighth of October is designated as National First Responders Day; and
WHEREAS the City of Huntsville, Texas, formally recognizes and includes 911 operators and dispatchers, law enforcement officers, professional and volunteer firefighters, emergency medical
personnel, search and rescue teams, and other roles in the public sector; and
WHEREAS these men and women are our first and best defense against all emergencies that threaten our communities. First responders maintain safety and order in times of crisis; and
WHEREAS we acknowledge the education and training to achieve the expertise required to respond to emergency situations, their courage, and the risk to their own safety to protect others.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Andy Brauninger, Mayor of Huntsville Texas,
do hereby proclaim,
October 28, 2022, as
NATIONAL FIRST RESPONDERS DAY
