Proclamation No. 2022-9
WHEREAS emergencies can occur at an time that requires police, fire, or emergency medical services; and
WHEREAS when an emergency occurs the prompt response of police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical services personnel is critical to the protection and preservation of life
and property; and
WHEREAS Public Safety Telecommunicators are the first, and for some, the most critical contact our citizens have with emergency services; and
WHEREAS Public Safety Telecommunicators are the single most vital link for our police officer, firefighters, and emergency medical services personnel by monitoring their activities
via radio and other electronic means, providing them with valuable information, and insuring their safety; and
WHEREAS each Public Safety Telecommunicatior has exhibited compassion, understanding and professionalism during their performance of their job in the past year;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Andy Brauninger, Mayor of Huntsville Texas,
DO HEREBY PROCLAIM the week of
April 10th through the 16th to be
National Public Safety Telecommunications Week
