Proclamation No. 2022-3
WHEREAS we honor and remember the thousands of brave Americans who Armed Forces during the Vietnam War; and
WHEREAS the H.E.A.R.T.S Veterans Museum is honored to dedicate this memorial to the 58,220 Americans who sacrificed their lives; and
WHEREAS of the 58,220, 10 were from Walker County, the names are forever inscribed onto the H.E.A.R.T.S. Veterans Museum Vietnam Wall Memorial to symbolize the sacrifices our veterans
made for our freedom and our nations strength; and
WHEREAS the Vietnam Wall is a reflective memorial so as to serve as a reminder of our history and reflect the sacrifices the Veterans made; and
WHEREAS in the City of Huntsville I call upon each citizen to remember not only the freedoms we are granted but to honor those who secured them for us;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Andy Brauninger, Mayor of Huntsville Texas, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM March 27th, 2022, as
H.E.A.R.T.S. Veterans Museum Vietnam Wall Dedication Day
