The reception will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the front lobby of City Hall, prior to the 6 p.m. City Council meeting to canvass the November 5 election results. “The City Council will meet twice this week – once on Tuesday, November 12 for a regular 6 p.m. meeting, and once on Thursday, November 14 to officially canvass the Regular and Special election results,” City Secretary Lee Woodward said. “As always, these meetings are open to the public, and we hope to see an especially large turnout at Thursday’s reception, as we take an opportunity to thank Council member Loll for his service to our City.” Citizens are also encouraged to check out the November 2013 City Connection or the October 30 issue of “This Week in Huntsville” for a special letter from Council member Loll. “When the election is over, and I am no longer on Council, I’ve told the Mayor that I don’t plan to just fade away,” Loll states in the letter. “I’m willing to serve in any way I can, and I want to be able to continue to help. I’m not going to be a stranger by any means.” Woodward said Council is also scheduled to meet on Tuesday, November 19 at 6 p.m. for its second regular session of the month.
