Proc. 2020-31 - Huntsville Day of Prayer - 8/4/2020 P roclamation No. 2020-31 WHEREAS CommUNITY ALLiance for Huntsville was organically formed through the planning of the Juneteenth UNITY Walk; and WHEREAS the group is composed of ethnically diverse, denominationally varied individuals, who are committed to serve our community in various ways to reflect our love for God and the people of this city; and WHEREAS their mission is to serve the community in ways that elevate the God of the Universe and provide evidence of hope, peace, and goodwill in our community; and WHEREAS they recognize the value and importance of education provided by the school administrators, teachers, support staff, and volunteers for students and their families; and WHEREAS the community is invited to join in offering up prayers on behalf of all these individuals of Huntsville Independent School District at 6:00 pm August 16, 2020, at any of the schools. (COVID precautions will be enforced.) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that: August 16, 2020 And every Sunday prior to the first day of instruction for Huntsville ISD be declared: “Huntsville Day of Prayer” in the City of Home Sweet Huntsville, and we urge all citizens to join us in prayerful requests and thanksgiving for the students, parents, employees, volunteers, and leaders of our wonderful school district. th PROCLAIMED AND SIGNED this the 4 day of August 2020. ___________________ Andy Brauninger, Mayor
