MMREAS the conferring of an Eagle Scout is one of the highest awards that can be
bestowed upon a Boy Scout; and
WHEREAS years of dedication and commitment are required to achieve Eagle rank and
Eagle Scouts act as leaders and role models in the community; and
WHEREAS James Garrett has been in Scouting since he was a Tiger in 1s grade, and
has earned qx merit badges; and
WHEREAS James made a signifccant contribution to the City of Huntsville by building a
therapeutic walking track at the Center for Rehabilitation at Huntsville
Memorial. Hospital; and
WHEREAS the City o f Huntsville is proud to have James Garrett in the community as
he exemplifies the values that make a community strong;
NOW THEREFORE, BE ITHEREBYPROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as
Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:

in the City of Huntsville and call upon our citizens to join in the celebration of his
achievement and acknowledge his special contributions to our community.
