WLIEItEAS Ester Mae Huffcnes was born on March 12, x91o, on cotton farm in
Turkey, Texas and
WHEREAS Ester married Reuben Lloyd Lehman in 1928, and they and their six
children moved to Huntsville in 1946; and
HWEREAS with her children in high school, Ester started a babysitting business in
her home, as she always seemed ,to have a special talent for managing
children. She loved them and they responded with love and an
eagerness to return to "Nanny's" house; and
WHEREAS today Nanny's oldest son is 8o years old and her youngest is 664. She is
blessed with the loving respect and appreciation of 13 grandchildren,
14 great - grandchildren and eight great -great grandchildren plus the
special blessing of her dear friend Sedalia Irving.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITHEREBYPROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as
Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that.

in the City of Huntsville, and call upon our citizens to honor a fine lady who has
strengthened our community through her hard work and loving disposition.
