WHEREAS Shriners Hospitals for Children give children assistance to live a more
normal life; and
WHEREAS Shriners Hospitals for Children give children the opportunity to receive
free treatment for orthopedic problems, severe burns and spinal cord
injuries, and provide them with a head start in developing a normal life,
which is essential to becoming successful and contributing adults; and
WHEREAS on February 23rd, 2010, Shriners Hospitals for Children and IHOP will join
to encourage people to donate to Shriners Hospitals for Children activities
in our city.
NOW, THEREFORE, BEITHEREBYPROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as
Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that.

be declared: "National Pancake Day"
in the City of Huntsville, and call upon our citizens to support Shriners
Hospitals for Children and the children and families they assist.
