WHEREAS Severe WeatherAwareness Week is February 21st through
27th, 201o; and
WHEREAS each year brings the potential for violent weather to Texas;
and
WHEREAS the Governor's Division of Emergency Management, the
National Weather Service and the Federal Emergency
Management Agency (FEMA) have joined in urging all
citizens to prepare for severe weather events and to educate
themselves on safety strategies.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power
vested in me as Mayor of the City of .Huntsville, Texas that.
February 21st through 27th, 2010
be declared: 112olo Severe Weather Awareness Week"
in the City of Huntsville, and call upon our citizens to take steps to
ready themselves, their loved ones and their homes for coping
with severe weather events.
