ORDINANCE NO. 80- 74
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVIT.T.R,
TEXAS, SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY, WHICH SAID
TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARIES
OF THE CITY; DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS:
Section 1: The City Council shall conduct a public hearing at 7 :00 o'clock
p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City
of Huntsville, Texas, on the 30th day of December, 1980, to
provide all interested persons the opportunity to be heard on
the proposed annexation of the following described properties:
(See Exhibit "A" attached)
Section 2: The City Secretary is hereby directed to cause notice of said
public hearing to be published in the official newspaper of the
City by December 19, 1980.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and after passage by
Council.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
on this the 16th day of December, A. D. 1980.

BEGINNING at a point, said point being the Southeast corner of the Robert T.
Walker Survey, Abstract 589, said point also being a southwesterly corner
of the E. Davids Survey, Abstract 157, and a corner in the city limits line
as described in Ordinance 80 -48 of the City of Huntsville, Texas;
THENCE West with the south line of said Walker Survey line and the north
line of the W. Barrett Survey, Abstract 77, to the intersection of said
line with the east line of the E. Davids Survey, Abstract 157;
THENCE South with the east line of the E. Davids Survey, also being the west
line of the W. Barrett Survey, to a corner, said corner being the southeast
corner of the E. Davids Survey and the Southwest corner of the W. Barrett
Survey;
THENCE West with the South line of the E. Davids Survey, being also the
North line of the S.A.& M.G. RR Survey, Abstract 535, to the Southwest
corner of the E. Davids Survey;
THENCE North with the West line of the E. Davids Survey to an intersection
with the North line of the S.A.& M.G. RR Survey, same being the South line
of the I.G.N.RR Survey, Abstract 687;
THENCE Northwesterly with the common line of the S.A.& M.G. RR and I.G.N.RR
Surveys, continuing on the same line with the north line of the W. Mock
Survey, Abstract 401, and the South line of the John Beachamp Survey, Ab-
stract 92, to the Southwest corner of the John Beachamp Survey, being also
a corner in the S. Rockley Survey, Abstract 473;
THENCE Northeasterly with the West line of the John Beachamp Survey to its
intersection with the South line of the John Hume Survey, Abstract 264;
THENCE Westerly with the South line of the Hume Survey to its intersection
with the West right -of -way line of FM 1374;
THENCE Northeasterly, with the West right -of -way line of FM 1374 to its
intersection with the City limits line as described in Ordinance 80 -49 of
the City of Huntsville, Texas;
THENCE Southeasterly with the South line of Reserve Lot C, Block 1 of Pine
Shadows Estates Subdivision (Vol. 174, Page 620, Walker County Deed Records)
as extended, to the Northwest corner of Lot 9,Blockl of said Subdivision;
THENCE Southwesterly with the Westerly lines of Lots 9, 8, 7, 6 and 5, Block 1,
to the Southwest corner of Lot 5, Block 1 of said subdivision;
THENCE Southeasterly with the southerly line of Lot 5, Block 1 to its South-
east corner in the Westerly right -of -way line of Raven Hill Drive of said
subdivision;
THENCE Southeasterly to the Southwest corner of Lot 11, Block 4 in the easterly
right -of -way line of Raven Hill Drive of said subdivision;
THENCE Southeasterly with the Southerly lines of Lots 11, 12, 13, 14, 15,
16, 17, 18, 19 and 20, Block 4, to the Southeast corner of Lot 20, Block 4,
of said subdivision in the Westerly right -of -way line of Pine Shadows Place;
THENCE Southeasterly to the Southwest corner of Lot 8, Block 7 of said sub-
division in the Easterly right -of -way line of Pine Shadows Place;
THENCE Southeasterly with the Southerly line of Lot 8, Block 7 of said sub-
division to its Southeast corner;
THENCE Northeasterly with the Easterly line of said subdivision to the North-
east corner of Lot 15, Block 7 of said subdivision;
THENCE Easterly in a straight line to the Northeast corner of Lot 12, Section 3,
of the Spring Lake Subdivision;

THENCE Southeasterly along the Easterly line of said Lot 12 and its prolonga-
tion to its intersection with the South right -of -way of Summer Lane;
THENCE Easterly and Northeasterly along said South right -of -way line to its
intersection with the Southwest line (191.76 feet in length) of Lot 24,
Section 4 of said Subdivision;
THENCE Southeasterly along said Southwest line of Lot 24 to its intersection
with the Westerly line of the I.G.N.RR Survey, Abstract 691;
THENCE Northeasterly with the west line of the I.G.N.RR Survey, same being
the eastern line of the John Beachamp Survey, to its intersection with the
west line of the E. Davids Survey and the east line of the John Hume Survey;
THENCE North with the common line of the Hume and Davids Surveys to the in-
tersection with the City limits line as determined in the Annexation of
October 14, 1980 (Ordinance 80 -48, City of Huntsville, Texas);
THENCE Southeasterly with the above described City limits line to the Place
of Beginning.
