ORDINANCE NO. 80 -71
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,
TEXAS, SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY, WHICH SAID
TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARIES
OF THE CITY; DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS:
Section 1: The City Council shall conduct a public hearing at 7:00 o'clock
p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City
of Huntsville, Texas, on the 30th day of December, 1980, to
provide all interested persons the opportunity to be heard on
the proposed annexation of the following described properties:
(See Exhibit "A" attached)
Section 2: The City Secretary is hereby directed to cause notice of said
public hearing to be published in the official newspaper of the
City by December 19, 1980.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and after passage by
Council.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
on this the 16th day of December, A. D. 1980.

BEGINNING at a point where the existing City limits line as annexed the
_8th day of May, 1973 intersects a point that is 1000 feet easterly at
right angles from the centerline of Highway 19 (Loop 405);
THENCE southeasterly and southerly parallel to and 1000 feet easterly
from the centerline of Highway 19, to a point in the existing City limit
line as annexed the 10th day of June, 1969, and filed for record in Volume
221, Page 501, Walker County Deed Records;
THENCE northwesterly with the present City limits line to its intersection
with the Western Right -of -way line of Highway 19;
THENCE northerly with said Western right -of -way line to its intersection
with the present City limits line as established in the annexation of
October 14, 1980;
THENCE east to the east right -of -way line of Highway 19;
THENCE northeasterly with said City limits line and the east right -of -way
line of Highway 19 to the Point of Beginning.
