ORDINANCE NO. 80-70
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,
TEXAS, SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY, WHICH SAID
TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARIES
OF THE CITY; DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS:
Section 1: The City Council shall conduct a public hearing at 7:00 o'clock
p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City
of Huntsville, Texas, on the 30th day of December, 1980, to
provide all interested persons the opportunity to be heard on
the proposed annexation of the following described properties;
(See Exhibit "A" attached)
Section 2: The City Secretary is hereby directed to cause notice of said
public hearing to be published in the official newspaper of the
City by December 19, 1980.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and after passage by
Council.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
on this the 16th day of December, A. D. 1980.

BEGINNING at a point, said point being an eastern corner of the City limits
of Huntsville, as established in the annexation of October 14, 1980,
(Ordinance 80 -51 of the City of Huntsville, Texas), in the South right -
of -way (ROW) line of Southwood Drive;
THENCE easterly with the South ROW line of Southwood Drive to its inter-
section with the west line of the James Tinsley Survey, Abstract 548, same
being the east line of the E. Davids Survey, Abstract 157;
THENCE Southeasterly with the common line of the Tinsley and Davids Surveys,
to the Southeast corner of the E. Davids Survey;
THENCE west with the south line of said Davids Survey, also being the north
line of the A. Brown Survey, Abstract 94, and the H. D. Ripley Survey,
Abstract 489, to the intersection of said line with the present city limits
line as established by the annexation of October 14, 1980 (Ordinance 80 -51);
THENCE Northwesterly with said city limits line to the Place of Beginning.
