ORD CC 1980-68 - Water-sewer tapping feesORDINANCE NO. 80 -68 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING UNIFORM WATER AND SEWER TAPPING FEES; PROHIBITING TAPPING OF CITY UTILITY LINES WITHOUT A PERMIT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS: Section 1: That Chapter 17, Water and Sewers, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas, is hereby amended by the repeal of Sec- tion 17 -4, Water Tapping Charge, as presently constituted, and by the adoption of a new Section 17 -4 that shall read as follows: Section 17 -4. Water tapping charge. (a) The following charge shall be assessed and collected by the water billing department for water taps: (1) 3/4 -inch water tap $150.00 (2) 1 -inch water tap $225.00 (b) All other water taps and special water connections shall be made at actual cost as determined by the Director of Public Utilities or his designee. Section 2: That Chapter 17, Water and Sewers, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas, is hereby amended by the adoption of a new Section 17 -25 that shall read as follows: Section 17 -25. Sewer tapping charge. (a) The following charge shall be assessed and collected by the water billing department for sewer taps or services: (1) location of sewer stub $ 50.00 (2) 4 -inch sewer tap $150.00 (3) 6 -inch sewer tap $250.00 (b) All other sewer taps and special sewer connections shall be made at actual cost as determined by the Director of Public Utilities or his designee. Section 3: This ordinance shall be presented for review to Council at its first regular meeting in December, 1981. Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately after its adoption by City Council.
