WHEREAS the conferring of an Eagle Scout is one of the highest awards that can be
bestowed upon a Boy Scout; and
WHEREAS years of dedication and commitment are required to achieve Eagle rank and
Eagle Scouts act as leaders and role models in the community; and
WHEREAS Todd made a significant contribution to the City of Huntsville by building
the Outdoor Reading Box at the Huntsville Public Library; and
WHEREAS Todd dedicated the Outdoor Reading Box in memory of his paternal
grandparents, Dick and Jane Christian; and
WHEREAS the City of Huntsville is proud to have Todd Christian in the community as
he exemplifies the values that make a community strong;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBYPROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as
Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:

be declared: "Todd A. Christian Day"
in the City of Huntsville and call upon our citizens to join in the celebration of his
achievement and acknowledge his special contributions to our community.
