ORDINANCE NO. 80-38
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING
THAT PORTION OF 19-1/2 STREET FROM AVENUE S TO AVENUE R;
PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND,
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING
THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS:
Section 1: That those portions of 19-1/2 Street from Avenue S to Avenue R
be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned, and permanently vacated as a
street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever.
Section 2: That the fee to the land in the above described portions of said
streets (and as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto) is hereby released
and will revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law.
Section 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 4: That this ordinance shall take effect after the date of its
passage.
