Proc. 2010-08 Huntsville Church of God 8-Day Celebration 10-02-10-09PROCLAMATION 2010 -8 WHEREAS, Huntsville Worldwide Church of God (HWCG) was organized in the year 1998 under the guidance of Minister, Albert S. Foy; and WHEREAS, The church is affiliated and possess a charter from Worldwide Church of God in Glendora, California.. In Spring, 2008, Worldwide Church of God, Glendora Legal requested that "Worldwide" be removed from our name; and WHEREAS, Fall, 2008, the fellowship agreed to change their name to Huntsville Church of God; and Huntsville Church of God (HCG) became official and filed on October 2, 2009; and WHEREAS, In 2002 HCG purchased property and the current church building, now with ongoing improvements; the congregation previously met in Sam Houston Place, Huntsville Mall, Comfort Inn and Open Door Baptist Church on Avenue M; and WHEREAS, Full time weekly Sabbath church services are held, and WHEREAS, Under positive leadership the Church is experiencing growth. The Church Mission Statement (1) G -NO1 means GIVE NO OFFENSE; (2) G -NO2 means — GET NO OFFENSE; (3) SPOG means — SERVANT PEOPLE OF GOD; (4) LEO means — LOVE EACH OTHER —Be good citizens, respect all authority, and pray for our leaders; and WHEREAS, On October 2 (at sunset), 2009 through October 10 (at sunset), 2009 the Church Family and Friends will celebrate an annual festival that highlights the good news of Unity and Reconciliation through Christ; and WHEREAS, To the .Pastor, Albert S. Foy, the staff and church members, we pray for success in your work for God and look forward to the benefits of HCG's leadership role in the city of Huntsville; and NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as the Mayor of the City of Huntsville, that OCTOBER 2 (SUNSET) THROUGH OCTOBER 10 (SUNSET), 2009 be designated as: "HUNTSVILLE CHURCH OF GOD 8 -DAY CELEBRATION OF CHRIST'S GOOD NEWS OF UNITY AND RECONCILIATION FOR ALL MANKIND" in Huntsville, Walker County, Texas PROCLAIMED AND SIGNED this the 2 "d day of October, 2009.
