WHEREAS the H.EA.R.T.S. Veterans Museum is a unique and special asset to the City of Huntsville;
and
WHEREAS the museum honors all veterans from all branches of the military involved in all wars and
conflicts; and
WHEREAS the construction of the new H.EA.R.T.S. Veterans Museum building is the result of years of
planning and development; and
WHEREAS the tireless work of not only museum staff, but also city, county, state and federal officials
was required for the museum's completion; and
WHEREAS Veterans' Day is the perfect occasion to recognize a museum which honors our nation's
heroes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBYPROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as
Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:
November 11, 2009
be declared: "H.E.A.R.T.S. Veterans'Museum Day"
in the City of Huntsville and call upon our citizens to join in the celebration of this
meaningful establishment in our community.
