RESO CC 08/13/74 - Swimming pool grantRESOLUTION No. 74 -11
WHEREAS the Huntsville City Council , meeting in regular session on July 25 ,
1974, heard the recommendations of the Parks and Recreation Board to locate
the City swimming pool at Ross Park and apply.for a matching grant for the
•
planning and construction of said pool.
THEREFORE, the Huntsville City Council hereby designates a site in Ross
Park to be the location of the City's swimming pool, and
THEREFORE authorizes the City's Parks and Recreation Coordinator, Gene
Pipes to represent and act for the City of Huntsville in applying for a
Bureau of Outdoor Recreation Matching Grant, Land and Water Conservation
Fund Act 1965 (Public Law 88 -578) through the Texas Parks and Wildlife
Department, and
" THEREFORE authorizes the City Finance Director, Jerry Kline, to be the
officer to serve as the City's fiscal officer to receive these funds for this
program, and
THEREFORE, this Resolution shall become effective from and after its
passage by the City Council of Huntsville, Texas.
