AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, AMENDING
SECTION 9 -10.3 OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS BY DELETING PARAGRAPH C OF
SECTION 9 -10.3 AND AMENDING PARAGRAPH D OF SECTION 9 -10.3;
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDIANED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,
TEXAS, that:
Paragraph C of Section 9 -10.3 of Chapter 9 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas, is hereby deleted.
Paragraph D of Section 9 -10.3 of Chapter 9 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas, is amended as follows
by adding a base charge for roll -off solid waste container use:
(d) Charges for containers furnished by City. The
following charges will be made by the City: A base
charge of $ 100.00 per month for any roll -off solid
waste container. $.60 per cubic yard of garbage
and /or trash. Where more than one commercial
establishment uses the same container, the charges
shall be prorated according to use, but in no case
shall be less than $ 3.50 per month.
The fact that the roll -off solid waste containers are now in
use in the City of Huntsville and that a basis for charge for the
roll -off solid waste container is necessary at this time creates .a
public necessity and an emergency, and this ordinance shall take
effect immediately.
PASSED AND APPROVED in regular open council by the City
Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas, on this the 12th day of
September, A.D. 1978.
