PROCLAMATION
NO. 2015-27
WHEREAS libraries create potential and possibility within their communities,
campuses, and schools; and
WHEREAS libraries support democracy and effect social change through their
commitment to provide equitable access to information for all library
users; and
WHEREAS librarians are trained, tech-savvy professionals, providing technology
training and access to downloadable content, opening up a world of
resources; and
WHEREAS the City of Huntsville is honored to celebrate National Library Week
with librarians and patrons of the public and school libraries in our
community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by
the power vested in me as Mayor of the City of Huntsville,
Texas that:
April 2015
be declared: National Library Week
in the City of Huntsville and call upon our citizens to take advantage of all the
wonderful opportunities available in libraries.
