Proc. 2015-24 Noah Duke Day 03-29-15 PROCLAMATION NO. 2015-24 WHEREAS the conferring of the designation of Eagle Scout is one of the highest awards that can be bestowed upon a Boy Scout, as it requires years of dedication and commitment to achieve, and Noah A. Duke has completed the requirements for the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America; and WHEREAS to earn this highest rank in scouting, a Boy Scout must fulfill requirements in leadership, service, and outdoor skills. Specific skills are required to advance through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, Life, and finally Eagle Scout. Throughout his scouting experience, Noah has learned, been tested on, and been recognized for various scouting skills; and WHEREAS to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, a Boy Scout is required to earn 21 merit badges, 12 in required areas, and Noah has earned a total of 39 merit badges; and WHEREAS Noah’s community service project was completed for the Thyme Unit of the Huntsville Herb Society and the Wynne Home; and WHEREAS the City of Huntsville is proud of Noah Duke, as he exemplifies the values that make a community strong, joining other high achievers who are Eagle Scouts, such as astronauts, business and government leaders, artists, scientists, and athletes.
