PROCLAMATION
No. 2015-03
WHEREAS the month of October is designated as “Colonial Heritage Month”; and
WHEREAS the Colonial Dames of the Seventeenth Century lead in remembering the
contributions of these gallant men and women who settled this great nation;
and
WHEREAS the founding fathers of our nation were zealous examples of high principles
of virtue, of courage, and of patriotism and have left us a wonderful legacy
of history; and
WHEREAS we as citizens must never forget the sacrifices and contributions made by
these brave gallant early settlers; and
WHEREAS the Colonial Dames of the Seventeenth Century reminds us that the
preservation of records, heraldry and the need to commemorate the noble
and heroic deeds of these early men and women is important to every
American.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in
me as the Mayor of the City of Huntsville, that
OCTOBER 2014
be designated as: “COLONIAL HERITAGE MONTH”
in Huntsville, Texas, and urge all citizens to participate in observance of this
important event.
