PROCLAMATION
NO. 2014-41
WHEREAS the Lady Hornet Golf Team has had a phenomenal 2013-2014
season, beginning with being ranked fourth or higher by the
High School Golf Scoreboard throughout; and
WHEREAS this year was the sixth time a Lady Hornet Golf Team has
qualified for the UIL State Tournament in school history, and the
first Golf State Championship in the history of Huntsville ISD;
and
WHEREAS the title is the first State Championship by any Huntsville team
since the 1980 State Football Championship; and
WHEREAS Head Coach Marcus Evans and Assistant Coaches Cody
McKinley and Danny Leatherman are proud of and honored to
have worked with team members Reece Haralson, Casey
Leatherman, Hannah Valentine, Top 10 Individual Medalist
Paige Weiss, and Individual State Runner-Up Medalist Courtney
Tibiletti.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power
vested in me as Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:
May 23, 2014
be declared: Lady Hornet Golf Team Day
in the City of Huntsville and call upon our citizens to join in the celebration of the
success of these students and coaches.
