PROCLAMATION
NO. 2014-22
WHEREAS the conferring of the designation of Eagle Scout is one of the highest awards
that can be bestowed upon a Boy Scout as it requires years of dedication and
commitment to achieve, since Eagle Scouts act as leaders and role models in
the community; and
WHEREAS Joshua Primm began scouting only two years ago, quickly progressed
through the ranks of Boy Scout Troop 114, earning 21 merit badges and
working intensely to complete his Eagle Scout requirements in eighteen
months; and
WHEREAS Joshua planned and built a gaga dodgeball pit at Alpha Omega Academy,
where he has enjoyed attending high school; and
WHEREAS although he has not been in Scouting long, Joshua has earned the respect of
his fellow Scouts, while holding the leadership positions of Assistant Senior
Patrol Leader and Patrol Leader; and
WHEREAS the City of Huntsville is proud of Joshua Primm, as he exemplifies the values
that make a community strong.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in
me as Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:
March 30, 2014
be declared: “Joshua Primm Day”
in the City of Huntsville and call upon our citizens to join in the celebration of this
achievement and acknowledge his special contributions to our community.
