AN ORDINANCE REDISTRICTING THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
INTO FOUR WARDS, NUMBERING WARD NO. ONE, WARD NO. TWO, WARD
NO. THREE, AND WARD NO. FOUR, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS:

WHEREAS, it is desirable that the City of Huntsville,
Texas, be redistricted into Wards with as near equal pppulation
in each of the Wards as can reasonably be acquired. The City
of Huntsville, Texas, is hereby redistricted into Wards No. One,
Two, Three, and Four with areas and boundaries for each of such
Wards as follows:
WAPD NO. ONE shall consist of the area withi
Limits of the City of Huntsville as follows:

Being that portion of the City of Huntsvillesituated
to the West of the center line of Farm Road *47 beginning
at its intersection on the North boundary line of the
present City Limits of the City of Huntsville;
THENCE down the center line of said Farm Road 247 South
to the intersection of said Farm Road 247 andi North
University Avenue;
THENCE along the center line of University Avenue con-
tinuing in a southern direction to the intersection of
the University Avenue and 17th Street;
THENCE down the center line of 17th Street in a westerly
direction to its intersection with the center line of
Sam Houston Avenue;
THENCE in a southerly direction along the center line
of Sam Houston Avenue to its intersection with 19th
Street;
THENCE along the center line of 19th Street in a westerly
direction extended along an imaginary line representing
said center line of 19th Street to a point of intersection
with the present western City Limits of the city of
Huntsville;
THENCE northwesterly around the western and northern
perimeters of the present City Limits line tc the Place
of Beginning.
WARD NO. TWO shall consist of the area within the City
Limits of the City of Huntsville as follows:
Beginning on the western edge of the City Limits of the
City of Huntsville at a point representing the center line
of an imaginary extension of 19th Street;
THENCE in an easterly direction along the imaginaq center
line of an extension of 19th Street to 19th treetand

along its center line to its intersection with
Sam Houston Avenue;
THENCE in a northerly direction along the center
line of Sam Houston Avenue to its intersection with
17th Street;
THENCE along the center line of 17th Street in an
easterly direction to its intersection with venue I;
THENCE along the center line of Avenue I in a southerly
direction to its intersection with Sam Hous on Avenue;
THENCE along the center line of Sam Houston venue in
a southerly direction to its intersection with Montgomery
Road;
THENCE along the center line of Montgomery oad in a
southwesterly direction to its point of int rsection .
with the present-boundary of the City limits of the
City of Huntsville;
THENCE northerly following the present boundary lines
of the west limits of the City of Huntsville to the
Place of Beginning.
WARD NO. THREE shall consist of the area within the City
Limits of the City of Huntsville.as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line
of University Avenue and 17th Street;
THENCE easterly along the center line of 17th Street,
and extensions of such line through blocks where necessary,
to its intersection with Sycamore Street;
THENCE along the center line of Sycamore Street to its
intersection with 16th Street;
THENCE easterly along the center line of 16th Street
to the eastern boundary of the present limits of the
City of Huntsville;
THENCE around the eastern and northern peri eters of
the present limits of the City of Huntsvill to the
intersection of Farm Road 247 with the nor ern limits
of the City of Huntsville;
THENCE along the center line of Farm Road 247 in a
southerly direction to its intersection wit North
University Avenue;
THENCE along the center line of University Avenue southerl;.
to the point of intersection of University Avenue with
17th Street.
WARD NO. FOUR shall consist of the area witiin the City
Limits of the City of Huntsville as follows:
Beginning at a point of the intersection of Montgomery
Road with the southwestern boundary line of the present
City Limits of the City of Huntsville;
THENCE in a north easterly direction along the center line
of Montgomery Road to its intersection with Sam Houston
Avenue;
THENCE in a north westerly direction along the center line
of Sam Houston Avenue to its intersection with Avenue I;
THENCE northerly with the center line of Avenue I to its
intersection with 17th Street;
THENCE easterly along the center line of 17th Street,
and extensions of such line through blocks wh re necessary,
to its intersection with Sycamore Street;
THENCE northerly along the center line of Sycamore Street
to its intersection with 16th Street;
THENCE easterly along the center line of 16th Street to
the eastern boundary line of the present City Limits
of the City of Huntsville;
THENCE southernly following the present boundary lines
of the east and south limits of the City of Huntsville
perimeters to the Place of Beginning.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here-
With are hereby repealed
