SECTION 13A -6 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, BY ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF PARKS
AND RECREATION COORDINATOR BY CHANGING THE TIME IN WHICH
BUDGET RECOMMENDATIONS ARE SUBMITTED FOR THE PARKS AND
RECREATION DEPARTMENT, BY DELETING UNNECESSARY SECTION PER-
TAINING TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD, AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, THAT SECTIONS 13A -5 AND 13A -6 OF CHAPTER
13A OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE BE
AMENDED AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The following subsection of Chapter 13A of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Huntsville are hereby amended to read as indicated:
13A -5 (b). The position of Parks and Recreation Co-
ordinator is hereby created to serve as a
Staff Advisor to the Parks and Recreation
Board of the City of Huntsville. Such
Coordinator shall be directly responsible
to the City Manager and such position may
be full or part time employment.
13A -6. The Parks and Recreation Board shall, with
assistance from the Coordinator, submit budget
recommendations to the City Manager for recommend-
ed projects and programs for the subsequent
fiscal years activities.
SECTION 2:
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,
TEXAS, that Section 13A -5 (c) of Chapter 13A of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Huntsville, Texas, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3:
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,
TEXAS, that Chapter 13A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Huntsville, Texas, is hereby amended to the effect that wherever
the term "Parks and Recreation Director" appears, said term shall
be amended to read "Parks and Recreation Coordinator ".
SECTION 4:
This ordinance shall be effective from and after its passage.
