ORD CC 08/03/65 - Levying TaxesAl; ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES UPON TAXABLE PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN AND
SUBJECT TO TAXATION IN THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED EY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE IN COUNCIL ASSEMBLED:
SECTION ONE: That there is hereby levied, for the current year on all
real property situated and all personal property owned within the
limits of said City of Huntsville, Texas, on the first day of
January, 194,1, except so much as may be exempt under the Constitution
and laws of this State of the United States, the following taxes:

(1) An ad valorem, tax of and at the rate of /,4 c-
(/ `' ` on the One Hundred ($102") Dollars
cash value thereof, estimated in lawful currency of the United States
for the current expenses for the support end maintenance of the
City Government of said City of Euntsville, Texas.
(2) An ad valorem tax of and at the rate of '^ r,
on the One Hundred DollIr (4,100) cash value
thereof, estimated in lawful currency of the United States, to pey
current interest on end provide one year's sinking fund and to pay all
cf the principal ,end interest accruing on all outstanding tonds,prving
bnrdr, funding warrants, improvement bonds, a.,nd warrants, and eny and
all other bonds and warrants outstanding heretofore lawfully issued by
the City of Huntsville, Texas, and which are now levied outstanding
obligations of the said City of Huntsville, Texas.
(3) An occupation tax on all persons, firms and corporations
doing business within the City of Huntsville, Texas, equal to one -
half of that provided by law for occupation tax due and payable to
the State of Texas, and including all amendments of Article. 4047 of
the Revised Statutes of 1925, and ether amendments thereto.
