ORD CC 08/02/60 - Levying TaxesAN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES UPON TAXABLE PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN AND SUBJECT TO
TAXATION IN THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVTTXE IN COUNCIL, ASSEMBLED:
Section One: That there ie hereby levied, for the current year on
all real property situated and all personal property owned within the limits of
said City of Huntsville, Texas, on the first day of January, 1960, except coo
much as may be excepted under the constitution and laws of this State of the
United States, the following taxes:
(1) An ad valorem tax of and at the rate of $1.10 cents on the One
Hundred ($100.00) Do]i2rs cash value thereof, estimated in lawful currency of
the United States for the current expenses for the support and maintenance of
the City Government of said City of Huntsville, Texas,
(2) An ad valorem tax of and at the rate of 30¢ on the One Hi}ndred
Dollar (0.00.00) cash value thereof, estimated in lawful currency of the United
States, to pay current interest on and provide one year's sinking fund and to
pay all of the principal and interest accruing on all outstanding warrants,
sewerage, bond, paving bonds, funding iarrants, sewer extensions, improvement
bonds and warrants, City Hall and fire station warrants and any and all other
bonds and warrants outstanding heretofore lawfully issued by the City of Huntsville,
Texas and which are now levied outstanding obligations of the said City of
Huntsville, Texas.
$gCtion Two: The above and foregoing ordinance shall take effect
and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
The foregoing ordinance was referred to the Finance Committee in
open Council at t e regular zeceeeed eting of the City of Huntsville Council
held on the of it , 1960.

We, the Finance Committee, to wham the above and foregoing Ordinance
was referred, have duly considered the same, recommend that the said foregoit
ordinance, levying taxes for the year, 1960, be adopted.
