THE OLD MIDWAY ROAD (AVENUE M: EXTENDED
NORTH) BETWEEN THE WEST PROPERTY LIKES
AND THE NAST LINE OF FARTS ROAD NO. 247
(AS RELOCATING AVENUE E EXTENDED NORTH)
FROM THOMtASON STREET TO THE NORTH CITY
LIMITS LINE OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,
TEXAS.
WHERTAB, the Old Midway Road fsllerly Avenue I Extended
North to the City Limits of the City of Huntsville, Texan, between
the West line of the abutting property owners thereon, has been
re- looated ,ssording to the desoription of Farm Road No. 247
from Thomason Street north to the north City Limits line of the
City of Huntsville, Texas, and for all intents and purposes said
portion thereof has been abandoned for public use, and is'.no
longer needed nor is it advisable to maintain the same as a
portion of a publio street, and 'hand be abandoned, and It being
to the public interest that said portion of Avenue I be abandoned
for public use, the City Council has considered and passed the
following ordinanoe:
NE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That that portion of the Old Midway Road (Avenue
I extended North) between the West property lines of the abutting
property owners and the East line of Farm *sad No. 240 at established
for the State Highway Department, from its intersection with Thomason
Street to the north City Limits line of the City of Huntsville,
Texas, be abandoned and discontinued for public use, ant that said
abandonment being in the interest of public convenience and necessity,
said portion of said Old Midway Road is hereby abandoned.
PASSED and approved this the 7 f day of July, 1960.
