PROCLAMATION
NO. 2015-13
WHEREAS SAAFE House is dedicated to helping victims of domestic violence and sexual
assault, supporting their mission to put an end to such violence by educating
the community; and
WHEREAS for many years, SAAFE House has stood for strong families, personal
empowerment, accessible assistance and services, and seeking to build an
abuse-free environment for all; and
WHEREAS tonight we recognize the tireless work of SAAFE House staff and volunteers
who truly make possible all of the programming, the outreach efforts, the
Elite Repeat shop, and the smile and helping hand extended to those in need
who find their way through the doors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in
me as Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas, that:
November 17, 2014
be declared: SAAFE House Day
in the City of Huntsville, and call upon our citizens to join in this
celebration of advocacy, volunteerism, and service to strengthen and
improve our community.
