PROCLAMATION
NO. 2013-45
WHEREAS Dr. Kenton Connor Ministries has been active in Harris, Brazos, Walker Counties,
providing outreach for the last twenty years; and
WHEREAS Dr. Kenton Connor is a consecrated Bishop of the Church of God in Christ and was
the pastor of the St. Galilee Baptist Church in Huntsville and has over 27 years in
ministries including feeding the homeless, prison and jail, and work with teens,
across the country and around the world; and
WHEREAS Stephanie Nicole Connor is the loyal and devoted wife of Dr. Connor and the mother
of their four children, Kenton, Jr., Lamont, Kyannia, and Kobe; and
WHEREAS July 5, 2013 will the first day that their Greater Ministries organization will begin its
mission in Huntsville of feeding the homeless, assisting the needy with financial
issues, and helping pave the way for local residents to continue their education.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as
Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:

be declared:
“DR. KENTON AND STEPHANIE CONNOR
MINISTRIES DAY”
in the City of Huntsville and urge all residents to join with them in supporting the good work
of the Greater Ministries in our community.
