PROCLAMATION
NO. 2013-10
WHEREAS Kaye Boehning was born in Oklahoma and attended Phillips University with
the intention of being an accountant but graduating with a master’s in
education, after enrolling her son in a Montessori school; and
WHEREAS Kaye volunteered and worked in Montessori, eventually moving to Huntsville
and opening Tomorrow’s Promise in 1997 to provide an environment where
children are free to learn at their own pace; and
WHEREAS as the managing director of Tomorrow’s Promise Montessori School, Boehning
and her staff of nearly thirty employees encourage and support more than 200
students; and
WHEREAS Tomorrow’s Promise offers programs for children from six weeks of age to 12
years, as well as after-school programs and school-age summer programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me
as Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:
November 13, 2013
be declared: “Kaye Boehning Day”
in the City of Huntsville, and call upon our citizens to join with the City Council in
recognizing the efforts of Mrs. Boehning on behalf of our community’s children.
