PROCLAMATION
NO. 2012-09
WHEREAS local Chambers of Commerce are composed of entrepreneurs and
businesspeople with foresight to envision growth for their businesses
that will promote success for themselves and their communities; and
WHEREAS the Huntsville-Walker County Chamber of Commerce promotes local
communities and projects by creating opportunities for marketing,
networking, and supporting beneficial legislation; and
WHEREAS among the many achievements of our Chamber are aid in creation of
additional employment opportunities for the local workforce and a firm
foundation on which to provide for future development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me
as Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:
October 17 -21, 2011
be declared: “Texas Chamber of Commerce Week”
in the City of Huntsville, and call upon our citizens to commend the
members of our local Chamber and take special note of their contributions
to the growth and viability of our community.
