PROCLAMATION
NO. 2011-46
WHEREAS the conferring of an Eagle Scout is one of the highest awards that can be
bestowed upon a Boy Scout; and
WHEREAS years of dedication and commitment are required to achieve Eagle rank
and Eagle Scouts act as leaders and role models in the community; and
WHEREAS as of 2011, Robert Morgan has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS Robert made a significant contribution to the City of Huntsville by planting
a rosary garden at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, and the garden
is in the shape of a decade rosary in order for parishioners to sit, meditate
and pray; and
WHEREAS the City of Huntsville is proud to have Robert Morgan in the community, as
he exemplifies the values that make a community strong.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as
Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:
September 5, 2011
be declared: “Robert Morgan Day”
in the City of Huntsville, and call upon our citizens to join in the celebration of his
achievement and acknowledge his special contributions to our community.
