PROCLAMATION
NO. 2011-06
WHEREAS the conferring of an Eagle Scout is one of the highest awards that can be
bestowed upon a Boy Scout; and
WHEREAS years of dedication and commitment are required to achieve Eagle rank
and Eagle Scouts act as leaders and role models in the community; and
WHEREAS Michael L. Winborn, Jr. of Huntsville, Texas has earned 40 merit badges in
his 11 years of scouting; and
WHEREAS Michael made a significant contribution to the City of Huntsville by
volunteering at the Cub Scout Day Camps and at Cub Family Camp Outs;
and
WHEREAS the City of Huntsville is proud of Michael L. Winborn, Jr., as he exemplifies
the values that make a community strong;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as
Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:
November 7, 2010
be declared: “Michael L. Winborn, Jr. Day”
in the City of Huntsville and call upon our citizens to join in the celebration of his
achievement and acknowledge his special contributions to our community.
