PROCLAMATION
NO. 2011-10
WHEREAS the conferring of an Eagle Scout is one of the highest awards that can be
bestowed upon a Boy Scout; and
WHEREAS years of dedication and commitment are required to achieve Eagle rank
and Eagle Scouts act as leaders and role models in the community; and
WHEREAS as of November 2010, Austin Artho had earned 40 merit badges, and
achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS Austin made a significant contribution to the City of Huntsville by
removing two deteriorated picnic tables located at St. Thomas the Apostle
Catholic Church, and replacing them with four, full-size pressure treated
picnic tables, with the help of his fellow Scouts; and
WHEREAS the City of Huntsville is proud to have Austin Artho in the community, as he
exemplifies the values that make a community strong.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as
Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:
February 5, 2011
be declared: “Austin Artho Day”
in the City of Huntsville, and call upon our citizens to join in the celebration of his
achievement and acknowledge his special contributions to our community.
