PROCLAMATION
No. 2016-50
WHEREAS Mrs. Leta Reiner is a valued member of the City of Huntsville, Texas Veterans Affairs Advisory Board and has been recommended for honor by other members of the Board; and
WHEREAS over many years she has made major contributions, both financially and personally, on behalf of local veterans, including helping them find housing and services, and visiting
retired and physically confined veterans; and
WHEREAS she has distinguished herself in her assistance to the Military Science Program at Sam Houston State University, the annual Wounded Warrior Banquet, the Honor Quilt program,
and the H.E.A.R.T.S. Museum; and
WHEREAS it is our pleasure to recognize this exceptional citizen for her consistent positive attitude, support of our local veterans, and contributions to veterans organizations and
initiatives.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as the Mayor of the City of Huntsville, that

be designated as: Leta Reiner Day
in Huntsville, Texas, and urge all citizens to join in celebrating this special member of our community for her many contributions and care shown to others.
