PROCLAMATION
NO. 2017-40
WHEREAS the Lions Club Past District Governors District 2-S2 Association chose this year to honor a member of their organization who exemplified a “Grassroots Lion” by bestowing upon
them their Distinguished Achievement Award; and
WHEREAS in her club, community, and throughout the District, Liesa Hackett truly exhibits all the attributes of such a special Lion; and
WHEREAS in accordance with the ethics of the Lions, Liesa seeks to build up, to be a friend to all, to be a loyal citizen, and especially to offer her sympathy to those in distress,
aid to the weak, and substance to the needy; and
WHEREAS today we celebrate Liesa Hackett as the 2017 Distinguished Achievement Award recipient at the District Convention.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:
May 4, 2017
be declared: Liesa Hackett Day
in the City of Huntsville, and encourage all citizens join in celebrating the many kindnesses and abundant generosity Lion Liesa Hackett has demonstrated so often.
