PROCLAMATION
NO. 2017-31
WHEREAS Little Dribblers’ Basketball is a non-profit organization with hundreds of community youth basketball leagues dedicated to providing a program for the development of good citizenship,
teamwork, leadership, and physical fitness in a safe environment where players learn to play basketball though competition and cooperation; and
WHEREAS Huntsville Little Dribblers has been proud to uphold these standards for local children for more than forty-five years; and
WHEREAS Huntsville Little Dribblers is sending Huntsville’s four best teams (two minors and two majors) to the four-day National Championship Tournament in Canton this month; and
WHEREAS all community members can help by supporting Little Dribblers’ fundraising efforts and encouraging the team members and coaches.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas, that:
April 4, 2017
be declared: Little Dribblers Day
in the City of Huntsville, and urge residents to celebrate the achievements of our Little Dribblers athletes.
