Proc. 2020-16 - LaTeel Nauls-Richardson day, 2-2020
Proclamation N0. 2020-16
WHEREAS LaTeel Richardson is the heart of Heart of a Survivor, having started this event five years ago to show love and support to cancer patients and their families; and
WHEREAS the Huntsville Diamonds Cancer Team has played a key role in making each year a success under the caring direction of Richardson; and
WHEREAS the mission of Huntsville Diamonds is to serve those fighting cancers, and Richardson holds fast to the hope that one day a cure will be found for the awful disease; and
WHEREAS Richardson has been honored as an Unsung Hero of Walker County, served as Grand Marshall of the Juneteenth Parade and received the Shining Star Award from ZBT Musical Awards;
and
WHEREAS the Diamonds have honored over 100 men and women and children from Walker County and the surrounding areas, as well as supplied over 2000 backpacks to needy children in Walker,
Brazos and Waller Counties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me on behalf of the Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas, that:

be declared: LATEEL RICHARDSON DAY
in Huntsville, Texas, and encourage all citizens to honor this great example of a woman.
