PROCLAMATION
No. 2016-06
WHEREAS Huntsville Memorial Hospital and the City of Huntsville encourage options for an active and healthy lifestyle for all; and
WHEREAS it is in the best interest of our citizens to seek physical therapy by a licensed physical therapist; and
WHEREAS it is the mission of licensed physical therapists in our area to improve health and quality of life by advancing physical therapist practice, education, and research and by
increasing the awareness and understanding of the physical therapist’s role in health services; and
WHEREAS licensed physical therapists provide the public with expert neuromusculoskeletal examination and treatment, improving health, fitness, wellness, and mobility throughout patients’
lives.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as the Mayor of the City of Huntsville, that
OCTOBER 24, 2015
be designated as: Physical Therapy Month
in Huntsville, Texas, and urge all citizens to help raise awareness throughout our community of the need for responsible licensed physical therapy.
