ORD CC 01/01/1919 - Huntsville Electric Light and Power r _ u LAN OIRA MTCH =` TO: HE ENTITLE41Y An ordinance permitting the Huntsville Electric Light Power Company, Incorporated' to establish' from and after the pas'- sage thereof' the following schedule of rates for lights and current within the limits of the City of Huntsvillea towiti Be it ordained by- the City Council of the City of Huntsvi lie An council assembled that the Huntsville Electric Light & Powe`r Company' incorporated, of the City of Huntsville and State of Texas I be' and it is hereby' ant 7jorized to establish the following schedule of raters for its service in the City of Huntsville,, towits The sum of seventeen and one-half t 17®1/2 cents per Kilowaf I hou , meter reading' for lights for the first fifty kilowatt hours; the sum of fifteen cents per hour foil the neit fifty kilowatt hours; the sum of 12®1/2 cents per hour for all kilowatt hours abov' 180 such hoursp and provided that every one who uses a meterr for lights shall pay a minimum charge of $1®50 per month in any event® The said Company shall make a flat rate of $1®00- per month for one light and $1`50 per month for two lights to such customers as prefer to take lights from said Company on a flat rate'. `Hut' all persons who desire to use more tha 'two lights shall lwxizktx have meter instal ' and pay for the current as herei`nabove provided. In connection with the flat rate hereby ant h orized, -the said Company shall have the ri91A.9 with the concurrence of the City Council of Huntsville, Texass to refuse to furnish jibhts to any subscriber on a fiat rate basis' if any subscriber be detected in any fraud in connection with the use of lig hts under the flat rate basis¢ or be caught violating any of the rules of said Company ni mP y the w se of light s on flat rate basis, The said Company shall furnish power for' cooking stoves at j the rate of 4 cents per kilowatt hour' and said service to J e measur= ed on a meter separate and apart from the light meter in any personts home or place of business$ and provided that each subscriber shall Pay a minimum of at least $14,50 for each and, every month* same rates as now in force per The said Company shall char Vxc ; i awatt hour for power produced by motor®, provided t hat in no event shall the mini-- ...mum charge for any one month be less than $1®80' and if the motor is V -NAY three more than A orse poweiv, the minimum charge per mont h sh all not j b$ less than fifty cents per horse powers Motor service shall also be on meters separate and apart from the light meters* Where electric fans are connected with light meter's either in homes o. in places of businessp current shall be paid for by meter Judi as lights are g, 3 g paid for, and at same rates* Where fans are subscribed for on flat rate basis of so much per month, then said Company is herejoy ant h orized to raise'the price of subh flat rate fans in the sum of 50 cents per month* That isf it is au:-® *horized to charge $3.50 for the fan heretofore furnished for $3*00 per month; $3*00 for the fan heretofore furnished at $2*50 per monf' and $2.50 for the fan heretofore furnished at $2*00 per m©nthV# i .
