AMENDED FIRE LIIdIT ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE A1,1ENDING ARTICLE 29 OF THE REVISED ORDIXANCES
OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, AS REVISED AND ADOPTED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE IN THE YEAR A.D. 1897.
SALE BEING KNOWN AS TK_ FIRE LINT ORDINANCE, THIS SAID ALIZITDI
BENT HAVING FOR ITS PURPOSE THE EXTENSION OF TKE FIRE LIMITS
OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE SOUTHWARD ALONG AVE K OR A;AIN STREET,
TO INCLUDE CERTAIN PROPERTIES ADJACENT THERETO WITHIN LIVITS
PRESCRIBED.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of
Huntsville , Texas;
That Article 29 of the Revised Ordinances of the
City of Huntsville, as revised and adopted by the City Council
in the Year A. D. 1897, is hereby amended to read as follows,
to-wit:
That the oertain parcel of ground in the City of
Huntsville with metes and bounds as follows:
Commencing at a point 200 feet east of the S W corner
of Block No. 8 , as laid down upon the maps of said City;
Thence North 200 feet;
Thenoe West, crossing lain & Jackson Streets, to a
point 200 feet crest of the East boundary line of Block No. 2;
Thenoe South, . crossing Cedar & Spring Streets, to
a point 200 feet South o-f the North boundary line of Block No. 4-
Thence East'
ast, 'crossing Jackson Street, to a point 11
feet Nest of the East 'boundary line of Block No . 5;
Thenoe.Souih to the South line of Block No. 5;
Thence yEast with SojXth line of Blook b, orossing
lain Street, continuing East with South line of Blook No. 6,
to a point 200 feet East of the West line of Blook No. 6;
Thence North, crossing Spring & Cedar S#reets, to
the place of beginning.---
Be, and the same is hereby declared to be within the
Fire Limits of the City of Huntsville , on any part of which said
parcel of ground it shall be unlawful for any person to erect
or place any building or buildings of combustible material,
or of any material not fire-proof.
