RESO CC 1976-07 - 11th Street parking regulations RESOLUTION NO. 76-7 WHEREAS, Section 12-37 of Chapter 12 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville provides that the Mayor of the City is authorized to designate no parking zones within the City as may be authorized by the City Council from time to time; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntsville has caused an investigation of 11th Street from its intersection with U.S . Highway 75 North and West to Interstate Highway 45 within said City to determine parking conditions on said Street and has heard evidence regarding the necessity of a no parking zone and is of the opinion that the area along 11th Street from 230 feet West of the extended West curb line of U.S . Highway 75 North and West to Interstate Highway 45 within said City requires that no on-street parking be permitted on the pavement at any time and that such signs designating such portion of said street as a no parking zone are necessary for the protection of the public and to insure the safe flow of traffic in such area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, that the Mayor of said City shall in all things be authorized to install and hereinafter designate such portions of 11th Street from 230 feet West of the extended curb line of U.S. Highway 75 North in a Westerly direction to its intersection with Interstate Highway 45 as may be necessary in the public interest as a zone where no parking shall be permitted at any time on the pavement of 11th Street from and between said point on 11th Street beginning 230 West of the extended West curb line of U.S. Highway 75 North and Interstate Highway 45 .
