RESO CC 1976-12 - No parking zone on 13th Street RESOLUTION 76-12
WHEREAS, Section 12 737 of Chapter 12 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Huntsville provides that the Mayor of the City is
authorized to designate no parking zones within the City as may be
authorized by the City Council from time to time; and,
PHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntsville has caused
an investigation of 13th Street between Sam Houston Avenue and Avenue
M to determine parking conditions on the south side of said street
and has heard evidence regarding the necessity of a No-Parking Zone
and it of the opinion that the area along the south side of 13th Street
from venue M to Sam Houston Avenue requires that no on-street parking
be permitted on the pavement at any time and that such signs designating
such permitted
of said street as a no-parking zone are necessary for the
protection of the public and to insure the safe flow of traffic in such
area..
OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Hunts-ille, Texas, that the Mayor of said City. shall in all things be
authorized to install and hereinafter designate such portion of the
south side of 13th Street from Avenue M to Sam Houston Avenue as may
be necessary in the public interest as a zone where no parking shall
be permitted at any time on the pavement on the south side of 13th
Street from and between Avenue M and Sam Houston Avenue.
WHEREUPON, said Resolution was duly made and seconded and passed
upon al vote of for and against on the a Z day of
