RESO CC 1976-16 - 19th Street no parking RESOLUTION No. 76-16
WHEREAS, Section 12-37 of Chapter 12 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Huntsville provides that the Mayor of the City is
autho-r-iz_ed to-deli-g-nate-No--Rarking Zones within the City as ma be
authorized by the City Council from time to time; and,
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Huntsville has caused
an investigation of 19th Street between Avenue 0 and Avenue R within
said City to determine parking and traffic conditions on said Street
and has heard evidence regarding the necessity of a No-Parking Zone
and is of the opinion that the area along the South side of 19th
Street between Avenue 0 and Avenue R within said City requires that
no On-Street Parking be permitted on the pavement at any time and
that such signs designating such portion of the South side of said
Street as a No-Parking Zone is necessary for the protection of the
public and to insure the safe flow of traffic in such area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Huntsville, Texas, that the Mayor of said City shall in all things
be authorized to install and hereinafter designate such portions of
the South side of 19th Street between Avenue 0 and Avenue R as a zone
where No-Parking shall be permitted at any time on the pavement on
the South side of 19th Street between Avenue 0 and Avenur R.
WHEREUPON, said Resolution was duly made and seconded and passed
upon a vote of seven for and zero against on the 26th
day of October, 1976.
