WHEREAS the Sam Houston State university Government Department
and the Administrative Management of the City of Huntsville have
joined together in the development of a joint gr -a- 2: --posal, a i
WHEREAS said grant proposal requests funding assistance under
Title I of the Higher Education Act of 1965 as administered by the
Coordinating Board Texas College and University System, and
WHEREAS said grant proposal is for the purpose of developing
and implementing an Executive-Deveio p r•ert and-Leaders-hip Trainin g-----

Program for the benefit of Managerial and Supervisory Personnel
of the City of Huntsville, and
WHEREAS said program will provide a needed service to the City
of Huntsville by expanding the knowledge and proficiency of paid
personnel,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Cour_cw,1 of the City
of Huntsville hereby sanctions and approves the submission of said
grant proposal and the implementation of said program if ar_toved.
