COUNTY, INC FUNTSVILLF MEMORIAL FOSPITRL, CREATING AN
ANNINISTRATIVE AGENCY BY THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE AND

COUNTY EMERGENCY IECINAL SERVICE , AND OTHERWISE PRO-
VTDING FOR THE PAYNENT OF EXPENSES TNCIDENT THERETO
WFFREAS , The Citv of Huntsville and the Commissioners Court
of Walker County, Texas, have heretofore cooperated in the furnish--
ing of Ambulance service to the public ; and,
FEFREAT, Pmbulance service has now become a necessary function
of Governmental entities in the interest of the public health and.
welfare and in such connection it would be in the best interest of
the puhlic for The Citv of Nuntsville and the Commissioners Court
of Walker County, Texas, to enter into an agreement for such services
and to create an Administrative Agency as an organization of both
CAR and County governments to administratively govern arbulance
service in cooperation Mth Huntsville Memorial Hospital , with the
City and County govern7ents to share the expense of such Agency on
an eaual basisz
N BE TT RESOLVED BY TFF CITY CCUMCIL OF THF CITY
OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS
THAT, the Mayor of said City be, and he is hereby, in all
things authorized to execute , contract hetween the said Citv and
the Cormissioners Court of Walker County, Texas , to provide for
the furnishing of ambulance service to the public , said Contract
to be in the form and in sutstance as shown by Exhibit A to this
resolution, which is in all things approved as to form and content-
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVFD, that to the extent necessary, the
said City Council of the City of Funtsville does hereby affirratively
create and bring into being the Adrinistrative Aqency as provided in
said Contract and to be known as "Huntsville-Walker County Emergenc,,,T
"edical Service" to be staffed and administered as nrovided in said
contract herein approved, and does further authoriz; the funding of
such expense as provided in said Contract,
TWEREUPON, said Resolution was duly made anO seconded and upon
vote, unanimousiv passed in open session on this the of
September, 1975 ,
