RESO CC 08/23/1971 - Sewage treatment facility RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, has heretofore
prepared plans and specifications for the construction of a sewage
disposal system and related facilities,and
WHEREAS, subsequent legislation provides for means by
which such facilities might be financed or financial assistance ob-
tained from various Federal and State Agencies to assist in the con-
struction of such facilities provided application is made therefor
and appropriate guidelines are followed, all of which the CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, desires to do.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of
the CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, that the CITY OF HUNTSVILLE make an
application to the State of Texas for financial assistance in the
construction of sewage treatment facilities to be constructed under
the provisions of Article III, Section 49-d-1 of the Texas Constitution,
and be it further RESOLVED that the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF HUNTS-
VILLE, TEXAS,,4does hereby authorize the submission of an application
for such financial assistance and does hereby designate CLARENCE E.
HAMM, City Engineer, of the CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, as the official
representative for the CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, in executing any.
application for such financial assistance and for representing said
CITY in any appearance before the Texas. Water Quality Board and the
Texas Water Development Board pursuant to any rules or regulations
promulgated by such Boards in connection with procedures for obtain-
ing such financial assistance.
Whereupon said Resolution having been duly made and seconded
was, by unanimous vote on this the rd day of August, 1971, duly
passed by the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas.
